Vlado’s workshop covered the importance of switching to digital, the differences between standard Definition, High Definition and Mega-Pizel camerals, existing HD video standards, key details of the existing broadcast HD standards (SMPTE 296 and SMPTE 254), how pixel and image size and compression affect quality and more importantly, how the Casino industry made their own testing and if casino details (like playing cards) can be identified.

IPR Seminar

This special seminar discussed how patent rights work and provided the necessary information to help you understand the patent system in Macau, including the enforcement of patent rights and preventive measures for third parties to avoid infringement actions. The seminar also covered the legal framework of patent rights in Macau and the prosecution and registration of patents and other IP rights. Case studies were used to illustrate how patent rights can work for or against you.
